Some lingering jet lag is kicking my butt a bit today, but other than that, I’m feeling really good about my time in Portugal. Please forgive the incessant photos of Lisbon. They’ve blown up all over my stuff, so I’m gently purging and posting as I go.
Sold a story to a lifestyle magazine in Belgium last week, about Lisbon. Deadline was this morning and I was fending off some serious sleepiness, so fingers crossed it’s all uphill from here. I’ll post if/when the article gets published (I was told the October print issue.)
Above:
1. Another photo of Casa do Alentejo, but this time, its library; the door was unlocked this day, and I was there to treat Rob to pork and clams (which is by far the best dish either of us has ever eaten).
2, 3, 4. These images are all from inside MUDE, a modern fashion/art museum; the entire exhibition features the collection of Francisco Capelo, whose website is….interesting.
5. We don’t take many photos of each other while on vacation, so this is a rare one.
6, 7. Graffiti art in Lisbon is abundant; some of it good, some of it not so good.
8. More gratuitous photos of Casa do Alentejo. (I just can’t help myself).
9. Another rare one: this one of me on the way to Castelo de São Jorge.
10. More Lisbon graffiti art.
(woops, forgot to add a number for this image: One of thousands of small, perfect views of Lisbon from here).
11. The Pork and Clams (mentioned in #1 – to. die. for).
12. My bedroom, at least it was for 3 weeks. I regretfully only used the tub once; glad I got this shot.
